Tour Rates for 2012
OUR FLAGSHIP TOURS:-
ISANDLWANA:
Departs from the Lodge/Guest House at 7:30am sharp, returning at approximately 13:00.
RORKE’S DRIFT:
Departs from the Lodge/Guest house at 15:15 in summer and at 15:00 in winter.
The cost, including both Rorke’s Drift and Isandlwana, is:-
R910 per person (high season) and R695 per person low season (from 15th of April, May, June, July, August, November and December).
FUGITIVES’ DRIFT:
A walk to see the site where Lieutenants Melvill and Coghill lost their lives in an attempt to save the Queen’s Colour, and where the first two posthumous Victoria Crosses were won.
There is no charge for this tour.
WE ALSO OFFER THE FOLLOWING TOURS:-
MANGENI FALLS:
The waterfall where Lord Chelmsford found himself at the time of the battle of Isandlwana and the Ingwebeni valley where the Zulus were discovered prior to the battle.
This tour requires a minimum of 4 people.
R395 per person.
MASONDO:
The crack in the Buffalo River where the Zulus crossed the river on their way to Rorke’s Drift.
Available either on horseback or by Land Rover and a short walk.
This tour requires a minimum of 2 people.
R175 per person by Land Rover or R390 per person on horseback.
BLOOD RIVER AND THE SITE WHERE THE PRINCE IMPERIAL WAS KILLED:
A trip to Blood River, a battle fought between the Boers and Zulus on 16th December 1838.
All trips require a minimum of 4 people.
R400 per person.
The site where the Prince Imperial was killed by the Zulus, on 1st June 1879.
R400 per person.
These two trips can be done together:
R750 per person.
WALKS, FISHING AND HORSE RIDING:
Fishing: R120 per person
Fly Fishing: no charge with own rods.
Horse Riding: R 295 per person (approx 1.5 hours).
Fugitives’ Trail: R335 per person in a separate vehicle (or R190pp with the tour vehicle).
ZULU CULTURAL VILLAGE
R 50 per person for the standard tour (roughly 45mins) and R 100 per person if dancing is requested (roughly 1 hour). Payable at the Zulu Village in cash and self-drive.
